Barrow's own Roller Derby League is here!

Unless you've been living under a rock these last few years, you'll have noticed that Roller Derby has not only started to being taken seriously as a sport in England, but is growing massively, due to the hardcore followers that devote their time to the sport.

As with any sport, it has it's fair share of accidents and injuries (OK, slightly more than it's fair share!) but one of the main differences you'll notice is that this sport is increasingly appealing to women. In fact women have been leading the charge for Roller Derby in England, and our local team - Furness Firecrackers - are no different.

Initially starting with just the one women's team, we now also have a men's team - Barrow Infernos - and an ever expanding group of Fresh Meat riders looking to make their way into the sport.
