Founded in Hawaii, the name comes from the Hawaiian Pidgin word "da kine" (derived from "the kind"). Now based in Oregon the company also sponsors team riders from the lifestyle and sporting fields of skiing, biking, windsurfing, kiting, snowboarding, surfing, and skateboarding.
